Measured limits

A small upload can decode into a huge image, path set, or nesting search. KerfCanvas routes by decoded complexity, not filename or compressed bytes alone.

Before processing

Each production tool carries a versioned performance profile covering decoded complexity, memory, copies, expected runtime, cancellation, browser/device classes, and tested fixtures.

Possible routes

A job can run locally, run locally with a clearly stated degraded tolerance, continue in Desktop, or be rejected with the source preserved. KerfCanvas will not silently upload after a local failure.

Current release

The initial calculator and SVG inspection workflows are deliberately bounded. Their limits will expand only with benchmark and compatibility evidence.
