Laser safety notes

KerfCanvas can help you prepare a job, but it cannot declare a material, setting, ventilation system, machine, or job safe.

Material checks only show warnings. Missing information or manufacturer cautions stay visible, but KerfCanvas does not block your work or make the decision for you.

This website never controls a laser

The website prepares files, previews jobs, checks supported G-code, and exports results. It never connects to a physical laser.

Do not copy settings blindly

A power setting from another machine may behave very differently with your laser, lens, focus, material batch, air assist, and ventilation.

Check generated G-code

Supported G-code is checked for unexpected laser-on moves, final laser state, work-area limits, units, and starting position. Review it again in the software you use with your machine.

Keep physical emergency controls available

A software stop is not an emergency stop. Supervise the machine and follow your own fire, ventilation, enclosure, and emergency procedures.
